IBIS - A Golfer's Paradise With 54 Holes of Nicklaus Golf
In 1991, Jack Nicklaus launched a perfect ceremonial first tee shot down the center of the No.1 fairway...and a Legend was born. Leading the distinctive triple crown of Nicklaus' Signature course, the Legend, has been described as his Florida "masterpiece." It has been rated as one if the country's "Most Distinctive Courses" by Golfweek magazine, and is a favorite course among Ibis members and guests.
The Heritage, which was bestowed the honor of being named to Golf Digest's list of Top 20 New Private Golf Courses in the country in the mid-1990s, offers a commanding presence with its fairway mounding and large impressive bunkers.
This challenging course has already earned a reputation for itself in South Florida with its formidable water hazards. The Heritage course features five sets of tees, ranging from approximately 5,000 to 7,000 yards, so that players of all levels can enjoy the 18-hole challenge in this beautiful natural setting. The Heritage has built a wonderful legacy in the world of Florida Golf.
The Tradition's use of native Florida vegetation serves as a constant reminder to golfers that they've entered a new and unique world - one of challenging competition and natural beauty designed by a second generation of the Nicklaus family. With smaller greens, undulating landing areas, and contoured fairways that stress shot execution, the Tradition is reminiscent of old world-style courses, such as St. Andrews.
Four holes are laid out side by side, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Nicklaus design and the tranquility inherent in Ibis' unique location.
